The 2018 World Cup has been something of a special one for England.
They achieved their first semi final since 1990, instilled hope into a restless football loving nation and had everyone belting out “it’s coming home” for about two weeks straight.
It seemed rather fitting then that we’d be able to get involved with a project involving football in one way or another but little did we expect to be working with such a footballing icon.
Paul “Gazza” Gascoigne came down to the Kings Hall in Stoke-on-Trent to spend an evening with his fans to talk about his life and football. Obviously, with this being Gascoigne it was a night filled with hilarious antics and jokes, along with some very descriptive stories. He had time for everyone on the night, so much so that the evening ended up running a bit over schedule, not that anybody minded!
The night also had its serious moments as Gazza opened up about his battles with addiction and mental health, both of which he says he is currently battling to this day. He claimed that he has his “head back together” now and is surrounded by the right people and we for one wish him all the best for the future!
In the voice of the audience, “there’s only one Paul Gascoigne!”.
