Have a question regarding video? Here are some of our frequently asked questions.
The cost of video production can be broken down into many different factors, such as:
- The number of locations required for filming
- How many crew members we think are necessary for your project
- How many days shooting the project entails
- The complexity of the final edit e.g. if it requires animated elements
- Whether we are producing multiple videos or just one video
For animated videos, we break the cost down based upon the following factors:
- The complexity of the animation your project requires, e.g. 2D or 3D animation
- Whether you have pre-existing assets for us to use or whether these need to be created from scratch (e.g. characters)
- The total duration of the animation
We're aware that sometimes there are budget restrictions but don't let that worry you, get in touch today and let's see how we can help.
Speaking broadly, there are three phases of video production that every project follows. These are pre-production (planning and concept development), production (shooting the video) and post production (editing).
Pre-production: This is the planning stage where we develop initial ideas or build upon existing ones you may already have. We aim to explore some of the following questions together - what do you aim to achieve from the project? Who is your target audience? Are you working to a deadline?
Production: The planning and preparations are complete, the locations are set and we're now ready to film.
Post-production: This is the final stage of the process where we'll work our magic and bring the idea to life. We'll ensure that everything we've spoken about in the pre-production stage is executed in the finished product.
You will have the chance here to review the video and request changes if necessary and then once they are complete and agreed upon, the video can be finalised.
This really depends upon the complexity of the edit and the purpose of the video. Typically, promotional videos and social media content can be turned around between 1-2 weeks.
For long form content such as documentaries, it can vary depending upon the scope of the project. Usually with projects of this kind though, we will have an agreed upon completion date that we set forth in the pre-production stage.
Generally speaking, marketing videos should be around two minutes or less. With that being said, the length of any video depends very much on its purpose, the platform it is intended for (Facebook, Instagram etc) and your target audience. You can read more about recommended video length in our blog post.
Of course! We have already travelled approximately 13,196 thousand miles with our kit in the last three years alone.
Yes! Creating a video is just one part of the process but placing that video into a marketing strategy effectively is where you will start to see results and return on investment (ROI).
We're more than happy to offer support and guidance with this, after all we want our videos to perform well as a results driven company with a marketing background. We can only do well when our clients do well.
During our initial meeting our main aim is to understand you, your business and your goals. Once we understand all of your project requirements, we'll get to work. From here on in, you can have as much or as little input as you like. Either way, we'll keep you informed at every step of the process.
Making a 'viral' video is something that we, and hopefully any organisation you've dealt with, cannot guarantee. However, we would be more than happy to offer you support on how to maximise the potential reach of your project and pursue a marketing strategy together should that be something you are interested in.
We typically charge 50% of the total project cost upfront as a refundable deposit. Upon completion of the project, we will charge the remaining 50%.
Of course! We allow for two sets of revisions following the first draft should you need them. We strongly recommend that you go through the first draft and list all the changes required to avoid needing more revisions and so we can turn your video around faster.
Put simply, a video retainer is a package deal that we would agree upon together whereby we create a set amount of videos in return for a set monthly fee. This would be contractually agreed between us both and usually lasts for a period of 6 months to 1 year.
It’s actually much simpler than it probably sounds.
Essentially, we agree on a set budget per month and in return we create a full-service content plan for your marketing channels.
This can be over a time period of your choosing however, the most common time-frame is usually six months to one year.
Unfortunately, we can’t provide a set price for any of our retainer packages as they are all bespoke for the businesses that we work with.
Some factors to consider when it comes to pricing however:
- The number of videos required per month
- The complexity of the videos
- The time required to complete and produce the content
What we can say about pricing a retainer package is that the final cost will be fixed and will never change throughout the course of your contract.
Before you sign up to a video retainer plan, we’ll invite you to sit down with us and go through what your goals are and what you aim to achieve.
These could be anything but to give you some idea of what they could be:
- Increase sales
- Increase brand awareness and reach
- Increase traffic and leads
Once we’ve established your goals, we’ll then talk through tailoring your plan so that we can achieve them together. You can see our full onboarding process here.
Of course! We allow for two sets of revisions following the first draft should you need them. We strongly recommend that you go through the first draft and list all the changes required to avoid needing more revisions and so we can turn your video around faster.
We’re sure that won’t be the case but we always welcome your feedback and are more than happy to work constructively with you until you’re happy!
We can’t provide a definitive answer here as it will all depend upon the specifics of our agreement however, what we can say is that our retainer packages will come with set delivery dates that both of us will agree on.

Traditionally, we are a video production company but we do also offer social media management packages should you be interested. Again, the pricing and structure will completely depend upon you and your goals. Get in touch and we can talk it through!
